Speaking of shows coming out of New Zealand LOL! “Renters” is a New Zealand reality show based on landlords and their tenants. Judy plays the role of the hardline landlord, she gets furious and confronting if the tenants miss a week of paying rent!

BTW Craige neglected to mention his Kingston Op Shop finds, from what I could see there was a glory box and some colourful placemats…?

On the subject of TV – any opinions on Mark Loves Sharon?

    good work x

I think that was the funniest BitC ever! Great job guys!

Just a tad of info for Starbucks though, I worked for them for over 2 years (why I don’t know) and they do actually train all partners (Starbucks lingo for employees) how to use manual machines. The higher volume stores have the Verissimo machines (the auto ones) and the quieter ones use the La Mazocco machines (the manual ones). Everyone is trained on the La Mazoccos but you only get to make one or two coffees on them during training, then the rest is all done through in store training in your own store.

One reason why the coffee is so shit is because the turnover of staff is so high, you can’t really make a decent coffee until you’ve had at least 6 months experience on it, and most baristas don’t stay for that long at Starbucks due to the poor management and shithouse working conditions. Another is because in the US their wholebean sales make up a larger percentage of sales than their espresso sales, so that’s what they concentrate on on going training on wholebean and not so much on espresso beverages. The main reason though is because their espresso beans are just utter crap (oh the pleasure I took in telling customers how shit the coffee was and to go elsewhere before wasting their money after I had handed in my resignation!)

One thing though about the loss of jobs is that some of the upper management that made my life hell lost their jobs as well. Suck it! Plus after all this it’s going to increase the value of any Starbucks Australia merchandise on ebay (look it up, it’s crazy the price people pay for it!) Look out for my merch going up in the next few months!

    Hugs!

I loved listening to the latest podcast and Seamus and I and MATT saw the dark knight and we were TOTALLY blown away and its exactly as Seamus has talked about it and I LOVED Seamus’ reaction after the movie it really showed how much he enjoyed it and how much he was touched by it he had tears in his eyes like i did and that really did it for me as well and MATT and i at times just looked at each other and said WOOOOW and i were just GOBSMACKED by the whole IMAX experience!

Don’t you try to get cheap on us Hyslop!!

The whole of Podland heard you offer to send us “call guys” so let’s be having them – Tony would like one that looks just like James Galdolfini in The Mexican please – whilst Mark would prefer something more like Tony Buff – but without the tendencies to stick needles into him or hang him upside down for fun! LOL!

    Hugz

    1. OMG what the hell was i thinking “pierce brosnan as seamus” what the hell was i thinking. i am so sorry seamus.

    2. That was an excellent podcast. it had me laughing outloud from underneath my headphones this morning. I always get that “what the hell are you listening to?” from the young lady who sits across from me in accounting cubible hell.

    3. Thank you for Oz’s reference to Australian PR. its quite good actually. the car parts one, immediately made me think of how you would say that “Kahr Pahrts”.

    4. Coming slightly to Vegas’s defense. shows like “Le Reve” at the Wynn (muscle boy eye candy for days…) and the over the top spectaculars they do for bette midler, and cher. All you have to do is rent or netflix the Celine Dion Vegas Experience…it was beyond over the top.
I attend smokeout every year and half the reason to go is “the shows”.

Smokeout….600-700 bears all cigar smokers. taking over a pool area for a weekend. lovely indeed.

I unfortunately get subject to Nova969 at work on a daily basis, and the only way I can get by is by singing along “I kissed a boy and I liked it – taste of a hairy asscrack”.
