OK I’m about to lisyten to the podcast now, but here’s mine:

ABBA – Arrival. It was a birthday gift from my parents to my eldest sister but we all loved it . I’d have been 7 years old.

The first single I bought was also ABBA (and I’m not joking) Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (a man after midnight).

Gay-gene-sceptics can make of this what they will.

  6. Ian Tommybear4

My first album purchased for the price of two pounds 15 shillings was With the Beatles – I bought it in mono because I thought stereo was a gimick – but the thing was recorded in mono and the cd version is in mono, so don’t feel such a goose…

  7. Tony & Mark (Brighton)

In 1969 (oh my God!) with some birthday money I went to the local record shop in Harrow (North London) and bought a vinyl copy (well what else was there then) of Led Zeppelin II – it has since been replaced by a CD version!

    Tony

Heavy Nova – Robert Palmer [LP] ( i think)…. either that or one of the “hits of the 90′s” compilations

    Hey John,

Just listened to my first podcast and chose #40 given I just turned 40!

Charlie’s 1st vinyl album was Abba’s arrival and mine was Kate Bush Babooshka!

What does that say about us 20 years later?

Love the podcast great to listen when travelling to and from work.

    Love Allan & Charles fx

Ps. Hello to the rest of the boys!
