Bears in the City was very kindly interviewed in a story in the Sydney Star Observer, written by Nick Bond. It’s also available in PDF format if you want to see how it appeared in print (check page 7).
For those that are visiting for the first time from the Star Observer story, thank you for checking us out – have a listen to some of the podcasts below or if you’d like to subscribe there are links on the right hand side. Hope you enjoy it – let us know via email at podcast@bearsinthecity.com.au or commenting on a particular post!
Unfortunately we made an upgrade of this site which has rendered our podcasting software unable to upload new posts for the moment. We have podcast #37 ready to send out to you, but unfortunately the technical issues prevent it from being released. The technical issues should be resolved by early next week.
We really do apologise for this, and hope that you will understand. We’ll be back and strong as ever as soon as we can!
(For those that want to know, Seumas upgraded to WordPress 2.6 not realising that WP 2.6 was incompatible with Podpress 8.8. Attempts to rollback to 2.5 failed as the databases are upgraded in the move to 2.6, so it has to stay in 2.6. A fix (Podpress 8.9) will be out over the weekend – when it is out, we’ll get it upgraded and get the RSS feed up to date, and get you enjoying the podcasts all over again)
Whilst recording one of our last episodes of our Bears in the City Podcast, we decided to muck around, and do a video ‘introduction’ of each of us… And this is how it turned out!
We know that it has been a while since our last podcast. We had recorded a show recently, but due to technical issues (blame Seumas again!) and timetabling issues, we haven’t been able to get #16 out yet. We’ll be recording a new podcast very soon, and it’ll be a bit of a bumper podcast, as we have so much to talk about.
So hang tight, wait a little longer, keep the faith and we’ll see you very soon.
Oh, and Craige and John want to thank everyone for a fantastic time at Northern Exposure – and Seumas will be seeing you at Grrrampians in Victoria in early November, as well as tripping around Melbourne. Look out for us!
Hey everyone, thanks for your questions asking when the next podcast will be up. We’ve had a break enforced on us through a number of factors, and so the next time that we’ll be able to get together and record is the weekend of 21st/22nd July. We’ll have podcast #11 up after that.
We’re really flattered that you guys are keen to hear the next podcast – we started this as an excuse to get us as a bunch of friends together and make each other laugh, and we want to stay true to that, so don’t want to rush out podcasts just to keep to a schedule. We appreciate that you understand this.
If you feel like it though, please send us email at podcast@bearsinthecity.com.au and let us know what you think, or just what’s on your mind! We’ll read out a few of them and talk back to you on podcast #11.
Oh, and there might be the possibility of more podcasts from more Australian bear events shortly, so stay tuned!
